Will multiple clients hosted on Webflow be seen on the same shared IP address and mixed in with other clients using the same DNS settings, if we offer client billing and host them in our account?

TL;DR
  • Webflow uses shared IP addresses across hosted sites; clients will share Webflow's common IPs.
  • DNS settings require linking sites to consistent Webflow IPs: 75.2.70.75 and 99.83.190.102.
  • Client billing impacts payment management, not IP allocation or hosting setups.
  • Custom domain setup demands DNS pointing to specified Webflow IP addresses.

If you're hosting multiple clients' projects on Webflow under your account through client billing, you may wonder if they will share the same IP address. Here’s how Webflow’s hosting setup works.

1. Shared IP Addresses

  • Webflow uses shared IP addresses for hosted sites. Clients hosted under your account will typically share Webflow's common IP addresses.

2. DNS Settings

  • All Webflow-hosted sites using the default settings will generally be linked to the same DKIM and A records: (a) 75.2.70.75, (b) 99.83.190.102.

3. Client Billing Integration

  • Client billing doesn’t impact the IP address allocation. It’s primarily a tool for managing payments and subscriptions and does not affect hosting configurations.

4. Custom Domain Setup

  • When setting up a custom domain, clients will need to configure their DNS settings to point to Webflow’s IPs, regardless of the client billing configuration.

Summary

Webflow sites hosted through your account will use shared IP addresses common to all Webflow-hosted sites. This setup will not be affected by the use of client billing, which is separate from hosting and DNS settings. Each site needs to have DNS records pointing to the specified Webflow IP addresses for proper domain configuration.
