Webflow does not support restoring a single page from a backup, which means restoring an entire backup will overwrite your whole project.
1. Webflow Backup System Limitations
- Webflow’s Site Backups restore your entire project to a previous state—this includes pages, styles, CMS content, and integrations.
- You cannot select individual pages, symbols, or CMS items for restoration. If you restore a backup, all current project changes made after that backup point will be lost.
2. Workaround Option: Duplicate the Backup Version
Since you can't restore a single page directly, the best workaround is to duplicate the project and manually retrieve the needed page.
- Go to Site Settings > Backups and find the version you need.
- Restore it (note this temporarily replaces your current project).
- Before making edits, immediately duplicate this restored version. Use Dashboard > Duplicate Site to create a separate project copy of the backup.
- Then, return to your original project and restore the latest version to get back your recent changes.
3. Manually Copy the Desired Page
- Open both projects side-by-side in Webflow Designer.
- Use Copy & Paste between projects (Webflow supports copy-paste of elements across projects).
- Recreate the exact layout and styling of the page, then paste it into your current version.
Note: Some elements like CMS-bound content or custom code may need to be manually migrated or reconnected.
4. Reconnect Any CMS or Integrations
- If the restored/duplicated version used CMS content or special integrations, ensure you manually copy over associated settings, CMS fields, and scripts.
- Verify that class names and styles are consistent to avoid styling issues.
Summary
Webflow does not let you restore a single page from a backup directly. To recover one page without losing recent changes, restore a backup, duplicate it as a separate project, then manually copy the page into your current project using Webflow’s cross-project copy-paste feature.
