Can Webflow automatically send the details of a form submission, including the contact information and service requested, to my client?

TL;DR
  • Add your client’s email in Project Settings > Forms if using Business Hosting (up to 10 recipients).
  • Alternatively, use Zapier, Make, or Webflow Logic to automate and customize email notifications from form submissions.

Webflow can automatically send form submission details via email, but sending them directly to your client requires a specific setup.

1. Default Webflow Form Notifications

  • By default, form submission notifications are sent to the site owner’s email address set in Project Settings > Forms.
  • This includes form fields, such as name, email, message, or service requested if those are included in the form.
  • You can only have one notification email address on Webflow's built-in form handling unless you upgrade to a Business plan (max 10 recipients) or use an external automation tool.

2. Option 1: Use Business Hosting for Multiple Recipients

  • If you’re using Webflow Business Hosting, you can add up to 10 email addresses to receive form notifications.
  • Go to Project Settings > Forms and enter your client’s email along with any others you want to receive submissions.
  • Ensure form fields clearly capture required data (like contact info and service type).

3. Option 2: Use Zapier or Make (ex-Integromat)

  • If you need more automation or want to send customized emails to clients, use Zapier or Make.
  • Set up a trigger: “Form submission in Webflow.”
  • Use an action: “Send email through Gmail, Outlook, MailerSend, or another email app.”
  • You can customize the email to include specific fields like name, service requested, and notes.

4. Option 3: Use Webflow Logic (Beta)

  • Webflow Logic can now automate tasks based on form submissions.
  • Create a Logic flow that triggers on Form Submission, and add an Email action to send details to your client.
  • Customize the message using form field variables (e.g., {{ Name }}, {{ Service }}, etc.).

Summary

Webflow can send form details automatically, and to include your client, you must either (a) add their email in the Forms settings if using Business Hosting, or (b) use tools like Zapier, Make, or Webflow Logic to automate the email process.
